Hi Everyone, my husband and I are moving to Bermuda in November for his job and I wondered what items Bermuda-based expats perhaps wished theyd initially brought with them. And perhaps also items you shipped but are gathering dust/mildew unused.
Ive seen the following pre-Bermuda purchases recommended:
" Waterproofs for Moped riding/Waterproof jacket
" Electric blanket
" Warm clothes
And the following Dont bother with :
" Leather/Suede jackets
We wont ship furniture as well either rent a furnished apartment/house or buy stuff through Leaving the Island sales/e-moo.com (thanks for the hints on these).
Im aware that any shipped goods attract Duty of 22-30%. I appreciate that most things are available to purchase in Bermuda but Im hoping to grab some pre-relocation bargains.
